Bansuri Swaraj, the daughter of the late external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, is poised to enter the political arena with her debut in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The BJP, in its initial list of 195 candidates released on Saturday, confirmed Bansuri’s candidacy for the New Delhi constituency.
Commencing her political journey, bansuri swaraj assumed the role of co-convenor of the Delhi BJP’s legal department in March 2023. With a professional background, she has been a member of the Bar Council of Delhi since 2007, amassing substantial legal experience. Additionally, she served as the additional advocate general for the state of Haryana, all while maintaining a private legal practice.
Bansuri’s academic pursuits include completing her under-graduation at the University of Warwick with a BA (Hons) in English Literature. Subsequently, she pursued Law at BPP Law School in London and attained her Master of Studies at St Catherine’s College, University of Oxford.
