Amitabh Bachchan, aged 81, has been hospitalized and is currently under treatment at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai, as reported by News18. The reason for his medical admission was not immediately disclosed.
Sources cited by the publication mentioned that Amitabh is receiving treatment for peripheral issues rather than coronary heart concerns. According to insiders, an angioplasty procedure was performed on a clot in his leg, not on his heart.
Prior to reports of his hospitalization emerging, Bachchan shared posts on X (formerly Twitter) in his characteristic style, including his gratitude in his 4,950th post.
In another tweet, also numbered T 4950, he shared a promotional video of his Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) team, Majhi Mumbai, with an encouraging message.
On March 14, Bachchan’s team, Majhi Mumbai, achieved victory against Chennai Singams in the ISPL – T10 league, securing a spot in the final.
Bachchan was busy shooting Nag Ashwin’s “Kalki 2898 AD” earlier this week. In his blog, he discussed the final stages of production and the upcoming release on May 9th. This comes after he suffered an injury on the set of the same film in 2023, involving a rib cartilage and muscle tear in March of that year.
