The former head of Intel India, Avtar Saini, aged 68, tragically lost his life after being struck by a cab.

 

Avtar Saini, the former country head of Intel India, met with a fatal accident early Wednesday morning in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. The 68-year-old was cycling with a group of fellow cyclists on Palm Beach Road in the Nerul area when a speeding cab struck him leading to his tragic demise, as confirmed by the police.Avtar earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from VJTI, Mumbai, and later pursued a master’s degree in electrical engineering at the University of Minnesota.His remarkable career at Intel included significant contributions to the development of Intel 386, Intel 486, and the renowned Pentium processor.
