A 12-member squad from the Enforcement Directorate arrived at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s official residence with a search warrant pertaining to the excise policy case. Subsequently, the Enforcement Directorate has taken the Delhi Chief Minister into custody. This move by the Enforcement Directorate follows the Delhi High Court’s rejection of Chief MinisterKejriwal’s plea for protection against arrest in the liquor policy case. Despite the ED’s summons for questioning regarding alleged financial irregularities, Chief Minister Kejriwal had consistently declined to cooperate, labeling the summons from the central agency as unlawful.
