Rajinikanth’s much-awaited 171st film, titled ‘Coolie’, has finally been revealed, with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj unveiling the film’s teaser. The teaser showcases Rajinikanth in a powerful avatar, fighting off goons with his signature style.

In ‘Coolie’, Rajinikanth appears in a rugged avatar, adorned with a ‘coolie’ badge on his arm. The teaser shows him engaging in intense action scenes, wielding a belt made of gold watches, and showcasing his trademark style.
At a press conference in Chennai, Lokesh Kanagaraj shared updates about ‘Thalaivar 171’ and his upcoming project, ‘Kaithi 2’. He mentioned that the pre-production work for ‘Coolie’ is ongoing, and the filming is scheduled to commence in June.
‘Coolie’ marks the first collaboration between Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rajinikanth. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film has been highly anticipated since its launch announcement in September 2023.
Reports suggest that actor Sivakarthikeyan will play a significant role in the film. However, official confirmation regarding the cast and crew is yet to be announced.
Renowned composer Anirudh Ravichander and stunt director duo Anbariv are part of the crew, adding further excitement to the project.
