Actor Prakash Raj rejects notion of being bought. Singham actor asserts party ‘not rich enough…’

Is actor Prakash Raj joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)? The ‘Singham’ star has broken his silence on rumors circulating on X about his potential affiliation with the party ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

On April 4, Prakash Raj responded, “I guess they tried πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ must have realized they were not rich enough (ideologically) to buy me.. 😝😝😝.. what do you think friends,” addressing the speculations.

Raj, known for his vocal criticism of the ruling BJP, recently made headlines for appearing with climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, who went on a hunger strike to demand Ladakh’s statehood and its inclusion in the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution.

Expressing his stance on government promises, Raj stated, “When governments do not keep their promises, the people have no option but to unite and raise their voices in accordance with their constitutional rights.”

Referring to politicians’ election-time promises,Prakash Raj criticized, “They (politicians) are making big promises and generating false hopes at election times but later when they take our votes, they don’t look back for the next five years. They have nothing to do with us; we are fools to trust their words.”

Raj also commented on a viral video featuring Kangana Ranaut, a Bollywood actor and BJP candidate from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi, where she referred to freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose as India’s first Prime Minister. Raj retweeted the video with the caption, β€œClowns of Supreme Joker’s Party… what a Disgrace..#justasking ..”
