The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced an extension in the deadline for online application submissions for the CUET UG 2024, following requests from candidates and stakeholders. Now, applicants have until March 31 (9:50 pm) to register for the entrance exam at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/.
UGC Chairman, M Jagadesh Kumar, took to the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter) to share the update, emphasizing the revised deadline. Earlier statements had indicated no alterations to the exam schedule despite upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The exam is slated to take place between May 15 and May 31, 2024.
Furthermore, in response to directives from the UGC and CBSE, the NTA has incorporated two new subjects, Fashion Studies and Tourism, into UG 2024, aligning with NEP recommendations. Candidates can add these subjects during the correction period, with additional fees applicable for those opting for more subjects.
The exam, tentatively scheduled between May 15 and May 31, 2024, is expected to yield results around June 30, 2024. For registration, applicants can follow the steps outlined on the official website application form link. The examination scheme encompasses a variety of languages and subjects, with specific instructions for each candidate’s choice.
