“The Great Indian Kapil Show” makes its debut on Netflix tonight. Arguably the most successful show on Indian television, it now moves exclusively to OTT.
The show, initially titled “Comedy Nights with Kapil,” aired on Colors from 2013–2016. It then became “The Kapil Sharma Show” on Sony TV and SonyLIV. After concluding in 2023, Kapil Sharma brings his show exclusively to Netflix.
Episode 1 Guests: The Kapoor Khandan
The first episode, featuring the Kapoor family, includes Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahani, and Ranbir Kapoor. Notably absent is Alia Bhatt. The show has been rebranded as “The Great Indian Kapil Show.”
Promo Highlights
In the promo, the Kapoor family shares laughter as Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda entertain. Kapil Sharma shares anecdotes, including one where Ranbir Kapoor gifted his girlfriend his sister’s clothes and borrowed his mother’s jewelry.
Return of Sunil Grover
Sunil Grover makes his return to the show after a hiatus. His reunion with Kapil Sharma is a significant moment.
Upcoming Episodes
“The Great Indian Kapil Show” premieres on March 30 and will release new episodes every Saturday at 8 PM.
